An exercise in trust: Mick and Len, probably nsfw

Mick sits on Len's bed, his head in his hands. The smell of smoke and burning books still clung to his clothes. He had been helping that woman burn the books in the library, not because he cared for the books or her in anyway but because of the call of the fire. It could have gone bad. Really bad. They were on a spaceship, but once he had seen that flame it had been too late.

This was getting out of hand, he felt like he couldn't help it. He isn't sure how to put it into words, but for once in his life, Mick is scared. The timemasters had turned that need for chaos and the desire to watch the world burn in to a weapon they could point at people. With the legends it was less a weapon and more a controlled fire. Here on the Barge he doesn't have either of those two.

He licks his lips when he hears Len's footsteps and glances up at his partner. "Len..."

"Because I know you weren't too keen on any of this to begin with."

[chillestrogue]

"I wasn't keen on hurting you." He retorts, packing up his bag. "But now that I see you want it, I think I could get into it myself."

He smiles at that. It is nice to see he hasn't scared Len off for good. "In that case I'd be down. But if we're adding sex to this then I think we should also add restraints. You know how much I like to get rough with you. And I think that would ruin the mood, Master" The last word is said with a smirk.

Happily flipping off his partner in retort, Cold swung the bag over his shoulder.

"I'll bring them the next time I come over. The pink, fluffy handcuffs."

"Didn't know you were into humiliation." Mick laughs as he stands to get dressed while Len leaves.

Over the next few days Mick spoils Len whenever he can. Little things like getting him some extra snacks and even a new comic book or two.

"Only you can decide if you're humiliated or not." He returned snarkily, and disappeared.

He notices the preferential treatment, and it gets an eyebrow raise but not much else; clearly Len's uncertain if Mick feels like he owes him or something. He pages through the comic book, giving his partner a questioning glance; where did this come from?

"Picked it up when Iris and I got the new furniture. I thought it was one you haven't read yet." He smiles. He wasn't spoiling Len because he felt he owed him, it was more about saying thank you. "You want to go back to that room?"

His eyebrows go up in interest, and he sits up, closing the comic and setting it on his knee.

"That all depends. Are you healed up?"

[hottestrogue]

"There are a few stubborn bruises left, but mostly they are gone by now." Mick smiles a little. It is nice to see that obvious interest on Len's face. "You've gotten your hands on some restraints?"

[chillestrogue]

"Only CCPD's finest." Len had slipped out of plenty of handcuffs in his day, and sometimes kept them around for show.

"I'll be gentler this time around."

[hottestrogue]

"Only if you think I need it." If there is anyone who knows Mick well enough to read when something becomes too much, it is Len. He grins at using real cuffs. Yeah he could get out of them but it did add a fun challenge to it, a bit of realism.

"Want to meet in the same place in a couple of hours?"

[chillestrogue]

"Sure do." He replies, cheerful as ever, and gets up off the couch. Now that he thought of it as a challenge instead of just directionless anger, it was a lot easier for Len.

"I'll be waiting."

Mick's a littel surprised, but pleasantly so at the cheeriness. Maybe this isn't just good for him. He takes a little while to get ready, for once actually bothering to shower and dress in nicer clothes. It is another of the ways he can show Len how this helps.

Then he heads for the room, looking around before he enters and smiling to himself in anticipation. Like last time he had brought first aid stuff and this time he'd also brought water for both of the and a blanket for afterwards.

Len's already in the room, setting up. He's installed a metal bar on the headrest of the bed, and is twirling a set of handcuffs around his index finger, looking up when Mick enters.

Smirking, he gets up off the bed.

"Close the door."

"Yes Master." Mick nods and does exactly as he is told. Then he comes over to run his hands over the cold metal of the bar. The chill sends goosebumps down his spine as he turns to Len.

"Which time is this pair from?" He nods to the handcuffs.

"That time we escaped during transport? Or the pair you lifted out of that cop's belt without them noticing?"He sits on the bed, reaching to pull his shirt off.

"The former." He grinned, unlatching them. "They'd been hanging up over the bar at S&S, and when my room turned into it, I guess they came along for the ride.

He laughs and then, once his shirt is off, he offers his wrists. "Blindfold today, Master?" He took a deep breath. It had been both exciting and scary with the blindfold, he trusts Len but still giving up his sight had been scary.

"Not today. Today's a See, Don't Touch kind of day." He says, and twirls his finger.

"Turn around. Hands behind your back."

[hottestrogue]

"Because we do so well with no touching rules." He smirks, but he does turn, hands held out behind him. It is a practiced move, even the most cocky prison guards know better than to let him walk uncuffed.

One the cuffs are on he does test them, just to check that they are actually the real deal.

They are, in fact, the real deal, though Len looks a little concerned that Mick might pull on them too much and cut his wrists. Though, maybe in the context of what they're doing, that's a good thing.

"I know we know each other a little better than the usual people keeping us from not touching."

He makes sure Mick is seated properly on the bed, before beginning to pull off his partner's shoes and socks, kneeling in front of him.

Mick stops testing the cuffs as soon as it is clear they are real. But when Len kneels he can't help but pull again. The sight of Len like that is one he loves, as well as running his hands over Len's hair whenever Len was on his knees for him. But he can't now, all he can do is make a soft rumbly noise to let Len know how much he likes it. But he also suspects Len knows.

He shifts a little, spreading his legs and inviting Len closer.

He smirks when he hears Mick start to make noise, but doesn't lift up his head just yet. Instead, Len reaches up to start undoing Mick's pants, careful about where he lays his hands. He presses a few fingers against his partner's shoulder to guide him down on his back on the bed, so that the pants can come off next.

Mick lays down at Len's urging. Part of him wants to challenge Len, but he decides to follow the part that listens instead. He shifts and arches his back enough that his hands aren't too uncomfortable.

He helps Len getting the pants off as much as he can and soon enough he is completely naked in front of Len.

He takes a second to breathe, standing back to smirk at Mick on the bed, before stepping up onto the bed to straddle his partner. Len's clothes are still on, but he's happy to sit in Mick's lap, tauntingly running his hand over Mick's head, his other reaching around to press against his shoulders and the back of his neck.

Mick shifts and presses into the touch, leaning up into the hand like a cat demanding to be petted. He tries to move to sit up enough to kiss Len, but can easily be pushed back down again. "You're hot like that." He shifts, rolling his hips as much as he can to let Len feel how much he is enjoying this kind of play and Len's weight on top of him.
